WHCM-47-DTH Chloramine Wide Spectrum + High Hardness Model

The WHCM-47-DTH process begins with a Micro Sediment Pre-Filter (model#FHBB-101) to remove any physical, undissolved particles out of the water (even though your water runs clear, you will be amazed by how much dirt & grime this filter captures). The Main Tank systems utilizes our proprietary patented Reticulated KDF-85 Minerals (Copper-Zinc) & high purity acid washed catalytic coconut shell carbon, calcium based carbon (bone char) & activated alumina, all of which have been tested to NSF standard 42 and 61.

The Reticulated KDF-85 Minerals remove the dissolved inorganic contaminants (heavy metals, etc.), in addition to creating a bacteriostatic environment.

The Virgin Catalytic Coconut Shell Carbon removes the volatile organic compounds (chloramine & chlorine), herbicides, pesticides, etc). Only catalytic carbon, in combination with KDF-85, is effective for filtering chloramine treated water. Click here to learn: What does Activated Carbon Filter? 

The Zeolite targets the ammonia portion of of the chloramine (chloramine is created by combining chlorine & ammonia). CuZn’s particular form of Zeolite is called clinoptilolite, the most effective form of zeolite for ammonia filtration.
