Hydroponic, Indoor or Outdoor Water Filters for Gardening
GreenGrowH2O purification systems remove the impurities and toxins from your water supply while leaving your water balanced, with naturally occurring minerals, and ready for gardening. Compare this with RO technology which wastes 3-5 gallons of water for every gallon created, requires electricity, and most importantly strips the water bare of any minerals. This stripped, unbalanced water becomes very aggressive and seeks to replenish its own vitality by leeching minerals from the nearest substance, namely the very plants you are trying to protect.
The best water for any type of gardening is purified and filtered natural water using a technology that protects the mineral balance of your plants. The most important step you can take to maximize your plant growth, besides choosing the right strains of plants and the proper equipment for indoor gardening, is to know and protect your water supply! GrowH2O systems will address all disinfection products and bi-products, herbicides and pesticides, organic and inorganic contaminants, hardness, TDS, and help to balance the PH, all without removing the natural minerals. GrowH2O systems can also be customized to your specific water supply if test results are submitted. Contact GoGreen today for more information.
GoGreen Gardening Models are broken out based off local conditions and the gardening application. The models marked chlorine are designed for chlorine treated municipal water, the models marked chloramine are designed for chloramine treated municipal water or well water.
Essentially the models marked chlorine or chloramine that do not list TDS reduction are best for gardening applications that are not hydroponic. Both the Chlorine Model and Chloramine model offer wide spectrum filtration of Inorganic (heavy metals, etc.) and Organic (herbicides, pesticides, disinfection by products, etc).
The Filtration Media in the chlorine models is reticulated KDF-55 and Acid Washed Coconut Shell Carbon, which perform best with contaminants found in water that is treated with chlorine.
The Filtration Media in the chloramine models is reticulated KDF-85 and Catalytic Acid Washed Coconut Shell Carbon, which perform best with contaminants that are found in chloramine treated waters and well waters.
All of our systems offer 1 Micron Absolute Filtration.
The models marked TDS reduction further reduce total dissolved solids, which is only ideal for hydroponic growing operations. Hydroponic gardening requires regular additions of water soluble additives, as a result, reducing total dissolved solids is best. When growing only in water not soil, you have to be careful to avoid over saturating the water, which can prevent nutrient uptake in this scenario.
For non hydroponic applications, reducing TDS further is not required. The minerals that remain after passing through the filter are considered beneficial to plant growth in soil scenarios.
Don’t know if you need to select a Chlorine or Chloramine model?
Chlorine is and has been the standard sanitizer that all municipal water treatment systems add to tap water since the 1920s. Recently however, some treatment centers have started adding chloramines to tap water. Chloramines are a compound of chlorine & ammonia and they require a different method of filtration for removal or reduction.
