How The Chem-Free Pool  & The Chem-Free Spa Work: 

Enjoy a luxurious swimming experience without irritating and potentially harmful chemicals. With The Chem-Free SpaCore , you can forget about all the headaches of storing multiple toxic chemicals in your home, along with the weekly hassle of testing. The Chem-Free Spa is 2 inches in diameter by 6 inches in height and will last for 3-5 months.

The Chem-Free SpaCore is flexible and slightly oversized, offering universal compatibility. If necessary, the SpaCore can be trimmed down to fit, just remember that a VERY snug fit is best. If you find that a tight fit can’t be achieved contact GoGreen and we’ll exchange yourChem-Free SpaCore for a custom size and shape at no cost to you.

If your spa has two filters, one fitted on a low power recirculating pump and the other fitted on a high powered pump for jets, make sure the Chem-Free SpaCore is installed in the recirculating pump filter only. The Chem-Free SpaCore’s all natural process, made possible by our unique reticulated KDF media, utilizes catalytic action and redox (reductions/oxidation) principal of dissimilar metals. When the spa water comes in contact with the reticulated KDF disc, a reaction takes place that forms copper and zinc hydroxides. These controlled releases purify the water creating a conditioned, stable environment that prevents scale and bacteria growth. KDF Media has been tested by the national science foundation and received NSF certification standards 42 and 61.Chem-Free‘s reticulated KDF is currently used in commercial and residential applications, including the filtration of drinking water. Unlike other chlorine alternatives, The Chem-Free SpaCore will never cause staining.

While chemical additives are not required in most cases, an oxidizing shock should be used in conjunction our technology to boost performance. The Chem-Free SpaCore is compatible with Potassium Monopersulfate based shock & we highly recommend you only use that type for best results. We’d recommend adding 50% of what the manufacturer of the Potassium Monopersulfate recommends. The disc does not need to be removed when using a Potassium Peroxymonosulfate based oxidizing sanitizer. When using chlorine based shock, we recommend removing The Chem-Free SpaCore for a 12-24 hour period to let the chlorine dissipate. 

If you wish to use a sanitizer for added protection, we recommend using a hydrogen peroxide based sanitizer, as it won’t cause irritation and will not effect the Chem-Free Pool & Spa System’s capacity. Again, when using the Chem-Free system, only a very small amount would be needed. We’d recommend adding 50% of what the manufacturer of the sanitizer recommends. The Chem-Free Pool & Spa do not need to be removed when using this type of sanitizer. 

If you have been using the Baquacil Chemical Treatment System or another Biguanide based chemical treatment system, please be advised. When switching from Baquacil to another other treatment system (including the Chem-Free Pool & Spa), certain steps must be taken prior to conversion.
